Generate Revenue With Your Web Site

Pack your web site with straightforward, timely data, information that invites comparison and straight talk. As the founder of 72 Advertising, a full-service web site marketing firm for the automotive sector, I must say that advice is golden. Remember, your web site is the first thing many people will ever discover about your business. Make the first impression unique, irresistible, and make it last.

A year ago, I decided to use the vast experiences and expertise gained from over three decades in retail marketing to help automobile dealers overcome the challenges associated with maintaining their web sites and Internet marketing.

With the shift to the Internet, web sites were no longer just online brochures for dealerships. They became living, breathing, revenue-generating parts of their businesses. Today, web site content continues to strengthen its position as the ultimate key to generating traffic and customers. And the most important information on dealers' web sites includes special offers that are current and up-to-date.

An outdated ad can change the way people think of a specific dealership. After all, if the dealer doesn't pay attention to its advertising, what other details does it brush under the carpet? Simply put, an outdated ad or promotion does not drive sales.

The goals of a dealership's web site should also include creating a positive image of the vehicles available and the facility, plus, give the customers some special offers, a reason to stay on the site to browse, and a reason to return again. An attractive home page that loads quickly and looks professional has a big advantage.

Simple navigation links are also key. When customers come to a web site, they usually are looking for something in particular. If they are forced to "search" for how a site may help them, they'll quickly lose interest.

Attracting customers and retaining them is basic, really, yet a very effective sales device. I've witnessed the number of purchase requests double and even triple because of specials on web sites that we've produced for dealerships. The specials are eye-catching, they're current and they bring in the customers.
